Waterfront Shipping, a joint venture entity owned by Methanex and Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, is a global marine transportation company specializing in the safe, responsible, and reliable transport of bulk chemicals and clean petroleum products to major international markets in North America, Asia Pacific, Europe, and Latin America. The company operates the world’s largest methanol ocean tanker fleet with 19 of its 33 vessels equipped with methanol dual fuel technology, representing approximately 60 per cent of its fleet. The fleet is operated mostly through long-term time charters, with Waterfront Shipping having 50 per cent ownership of five of the 33 vessels.

Situated in the commercial epicentre of shipping in Asia, WTS strengthens our global presence and reinforces our commitment to providing superior service to our customers and partners in the Asia-Pacific region and worldwide. This strategic expansion underscores our leadership in the maritime industry and dedication to sustainability and advancing solutions for a lower-carbon future.
